Brazil is the largest country on the South American continent. The Pantanal is a swampy plain in western Brazil that encompasses approximately 140,000 square miles along the upper part of the Paraguai River. This region, near the Brazilian-Bolivian border, is home to all sorts of crocodiles, fish and snakes.
